“60 Years on, Banks Say it’s Time to Leave Passwords and Embrace Biometrics” https://www.pymnts.com/news/security-and-risk/2023/60-years-on-banks-say-its-time-to-leave-passwords-and-embrace-biometrics/

Yes, 60 years on, our descendants, if they are as security-illiterate as many of our contemporaries, might possibly be enjoying the (lack of) identity security provided by biometrics that is and will stay dependent on a password (as a fallback means against false rejection). It’s inevitable because of the probabilistic nature of biometrics.

Two minutes spent on this video will hopefully get biometrics-believers’ eyes opened — “Biometrics in Cyber Space — ‘below-one’ factor authentication” https://youtu.be/wuhB5vxKYlg

Not yet convinced enough? — Then, move to this discussion — “Another Biometrics Fuss” (29May2023) https://www.linkedin.com/posts/hitoshikokumai_ftc-policy-statement-on-biometrc-information-activity-7068861992039559168-PvNj

Still thinking that biometrics must be the way to go because influential renowned professionals and big tech firms are saying so? — Hopefully, this message will put an end to your doubt “’In-Series’ vs ‘In-Parallel’ and Those Reputed Cybersecurity/Cryptography Professionals?” (6June2023) https://www.linkedin.com/posts/hitoshikokumai_identity-authentication-password-activity-7071783812686385152-6o-4

I would like to believe that our 60-years-on descendants will all be more security-literate than our contemporaries.

Thanks to Pia Tesdorf for bringing me to this counter-educative report.
