A friend suggested that I could take some action towards ENISA in view of this press release — “Beware of Digital ID attacks: your face can be spoofed!” https://www.enisa.europa.eu/news/enisa-news/beware-of-digital-id-attacks-your-face-can-be-spoofed

I have sent the following message to the ENISA press office.

………………………………………….

Please refer to your press release “Beware of Digital ID attacks: your face can be spoofed”.

Spoofing of body features is a big problem indeed. There is more to it, though, when talking about face recognition and other biometrics.

I wonder if EU Agency for Cybersecurity, Executive Director, Juhan Lepassaar is well aware of the security-lowering effect of probabilistic biometrics deployed with a default/fallback password in cyberspace.

I would be very grateful if you could forward this message to Juan Lepassaar, with the further details explained in the following writings.

They might or might not react. We will see.
