< How to Cope with Wily Phishers >

The second topic for today is “This browser-in-browser attack is perfect for phishing” https://www.theregister.com/2022/03/18/browser_in_browser_phishing/

There are two approaches for coping with password phishing: (1) remove the password and you will see the password phishing disappear and (2) make better use of our pleasant old memory and you will see cunning phishers repelled effectively.

(1) “No Password, No Phishing”

With the attack surface of the password gone, you will see the defence surface of the password gone, and you will see the identity security destroyed and the values of democracy eroded.

(2) “Phishing Detection by Episodic Image Memory”

While valid for detecting shrewd phishers, this solution is not for the general public but for the operators who are responsible for protection of important accounts and should therefore be ready to spend a few more minutes for user-server mutual authentication.

‘NO’ to Attacks on Democracy!
