Image Memory versus Text Memory
“We, as an animal, has been heavily dependent on image memory since our ancestors acquired eyes, detecting and judging whether the visual objects are food or predators. It has a history of several hundreds of millions of years and it has been mostly a matter of life and death.
On the other hand, memorising texts is the ability that a tiny section of our ancestors acquired a few millennia ago and the vast majority of our ancestors acquired less than a few centuries ago. It has been mostly a matter of power, social status and pleasure.
No Match.”
This is what I started to emphasize 23 years ago when I came up with the core concept of image-based identity authentication. It is very nice to see my observation supported scientifically.
