New Breed of BCI/BMI Coming in Sight
Expanded Password System that turns the torturous password login into history and brings us such desirable merits as enabling us
- to recognize and recall dozens of different secret credentials effortlessly
- to manage the correspondence between the accounts and the passwords
- re-generate cryptographic keys on-the-fly
- provide a solid defense against advanced persistent threats
also encourages us to look at the possibility of a new breed of BCI/BMI as discussed in “Password & Brain-Computer/Machine-Interface” https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/password-bcibmi-brain-computermachine-interface-hitoshi-kokumai/
Assume that shown above as a simplified specimen are 10 objects, 3 of which are part of my episodic memory inscribed deep in my brain; for instance, my father was fond of them.
I think of the numbers (1), (4) and (8) strongly, all in the red color, (not the images themselves), expecting that the BCI/BMI system will correctly pick up these red-colored numbers. When successful, the system identifies these specific spectacle, booklet and pen as my secret credentials. Different numbers are randomly given to different images next time to thwart the replay by a bad guy with a stolen data.
