Smartphone App Settings are Not Enough to Ensure Data Privacy

What we should do first when we got a new smartphone is to check whether biometrics — face, finger, iris, voice, etc. — is embedded on the smartphone.
We should not turn it on if we are privacy-conscious and security-conscious. Should convenience matter more than privacy and security, we could opt to turn it on, though.
What privacy/security-conscious people should avoid is to keep both biometrics and PINCODE/password turned on.
