Farewell, passwords: How Passkeys will change digital privacy

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/bobcarver_farewell-passwords-how-passkeys-will-change-activity-6973618652134744065-jq73

I was referred to this post by Dr Vladas Leonas, GAICD, FACS, FIEAust

My answer to his question of “Will they?” was ‘It’s just easy to bid ‘Farewell’ to passwords. They need only remove the password and claim that PKI-based MFA without secret credentials is more secure than PKI-based FMA with secret credentials”.

The outcome? — Good availability and convenience obtained by sacrificing the digital identity security that could have been retained if the password had been retained.
